Debra Martin

Dr. Debbie Martin is a native Hoosier,  born in southern Indiana and graduated high school just west of Indianapolis at Danville,  IN.  She is a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, and a military veteran, having served as a public health officer in the U. S. Air Force.  She lived in the country of Turkey for 24 years while on active duty and while working as a civilian contractor for the Air Force at Incirlik Air Base. 

Dr. Martin returned to the U.S. and to clinical veterinary practice in 2017. She worked at St. Francis' Pet Hospitals before joining the team at Academy Animal Hospital.  

Dr. Debbie and her husband,  Deacon Nick Martin,  live on the southside of Indy with one big dog and one unique cat.  They have two sons, two daughters-in-law and two teenage grandchildren. 

Dr. Martin enjoys singing in her church choir,  feeding the backyard birds, and dabbling at gardening and painting.  She is looking forward to meeting new furry friends and their humans at Academy!
